It was a dream of the founder of Jnana Prabodhini, Dr. Appaji Pendse, to present the young readers of Maharashtra with a magazine, which would not only serve its informative and entertainment purpose but also be a source of inspiration for multi-dimensional development. ‘Chhatra Prabodhan’ brought this dream into reality which has completed its successful journey of 25 years in 2017.
To develop a magazine and other publications focusing youngsters, teachers and parents in order to provide continuous enrichment for personality development.
A monthly magazine for youngsters. Current Subscribers-2000, spread over 36 districts and 356 Taluka places of Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat.
Programmes organised at different activity centres, include, field visits, exposure to real life situations, activities to enhance the facets of the intellect.
A publication of several books, especially for youngsters, is serving the purpose of making the material of Chhatra Prabodhan available for a longer period.

On the occasion of silver jubilee of Chhtra Prabodhan, Kumar Sahitya Sammelan was organized at Nigdi Pune on 7th and 8th January. Around 1900 students were participated in this programme.
It was based on subjects like-arts, sports, literature and science. 75 distinguished personalities were specially invited for the interaction with students.
In the stage-presentation competition 'Srunjanala Pankh Nave', students prepared and performed using the material from Chhatra Prabodhan Magazines.
